Spears granted overnight visits

At last there's some good news for Britney Spears.

The wayward pop princess has been granted overnight visits with her two sons.

Both Spears and Kevin Federline turned up to the Los Angeles Superior Court to hear the custody agreement.

The new visitation status has been a long time coming for Spears whose lawyers have been trying to reach an amicable understanding with K-Fed's lawyers, concerning their sons, two-year-old Sean Preston, and 21-month-old Jayden James.

According to Los Angeles Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini, Court Commissioner Scott Gordon granted the singer overnight visits, which could begin as soon as this weekend.

"Both sides have been very cooperative the past couple of weeks," said Parachini.

Spears told the waiting press that she was happy with the decision, while K-Fed left with a big grin on his face.

Parachini said a further hearing would take place on July 15, while the ongoing custody battle is still scheduled to go to trial in August.
