All about Huggy

Hugrûn Ragnarsson or "Huggy" the nickname she is known by, is an International fashion and portrait photographer, born in Reykjavik Iceland. She works in Reykjavik, London, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Tokyo.

Huggy began fashion photography after a successful career in modelling. Having been discovered in California by Eileen Ford, the owner of New York's prestigious Ford Model Agency, she travelled the world modelling, especially in Europe.

She discovered her true passion and talent for fashion, lifestyle and portrait photography, shortly after the birth of her daughter Olivia in 1988.

Huggy has since been commissioned to shoot covers, features, portraits and editorials with many Celebrities, Musicians, Sports Stars and Supermodels for major international fashion magazines, media publication and clients.

She has been both creative director and photographer working on concept, communication and development of various celebrity brands, campaigns, lifestyle and fashion concepts including TV formats and commercials for a variety of international clients.

Huggy contributed to the highly acclaimed ‘4 inches’ photography publication and print auction for the Sir Elton John Aids foundation.

Huggy is one of the judging panellists and photographer for Britain’s Next Top Model TV series, broadcast by Living T.V., in Great Britain and other countries around the world.
